Organic cotton is cultivated without insecticides, pesticides, synthetic fertilisers, or GMO seeds. Natural Latex Rubber All our outsoles and foxing sidewalls are made from natural latex rubber from the hevea brasiliensis tree, vulcanised in a pressurised kiln at 120º to fuse the sole to the upper. Flexible yet durable, natural rubber is a naturally sustainable product that's ultimately biodegradable at the end of its life. Cork Natural cork is the bark taken from the quercus suber, more commonly named the cork oak. Sustainably harvested with no damage to the tree it grows upon, natural cork is inherently anti-microbial (hypoallergenic & resistant to bacteria) and hydrophobic (repels water) making it the perfect material to stand between your feet and the ground. Ortholite® Eco™ Our insole foam is made from an environmentally friendly formulation containing both a renewable sourced castor bean oil in place of the traditional petroleum derived foam, and incorporates a percentage of recycled rubber.
