I wore this as a layer over leather pants and a knit underneath but it can be worn as a dress too. You will need a slip. The belt cinches you in to how ever you want the look to be. I have photographed the sleeves because they have a slight fray but nothing a pair of scissors couldn't fix if it bothers you.
