The Christchurch firm “van Roli” was established by two Dutch tailors in the early 1950s, with pieces from that era now featuring in Te Papa. My Grandma bought this jacket in the 1970s and it has been carefully looked after and stored since then. 50 years on, it hasn’t dated and will look great with any outfit, including being a great match with denim. The tufted wool jacket is warm yet light to wear, and the lining makes it easy to slip on over anything. Well tailored, relaxed fit. The collar can be worn up or down.
