Vintage Hermès H belt in classic black leather with warm cognac interior and polished gold-tone H buckle. The artisan date stamp corresponds to 1998 based on the Hermès square B stamp, making this a true late-90s vintage Hermès accessory. Purchased in Tokyo in 2017 from Komehyo Ginza, one of Japan’s most respected luxury vintage and designer resale houses. Unlike many newer Hermès belts which can feel overly rigid or overly glossy, this piece has developed the kind of soft natural patina and character that makes vintage Hermès so sought after. The leather remains in beautiful condition overall with only light signs of wear consistent with careful use and age. The black leather exterior still presents beautifully, while the warm cognac underside and contrast saddle stitching give the piece a timeless equestrian feel synonymous with vintage Hermès craftsmanship.
