Lumen - a heavy, architectural statement piece designed to frame light, shadow, and skin. I handsculpted this piece to create a bold, tactile play on negative space. Named after the measurement of light, Lumen is about how the heavy, mirror polished sterling silver captures light playing on open, organic windows. Because of the nature of the lost wax casting process, Lumen is a true one of a kind, one off piece. Once it's gone, it is gone for good. Sizing: M / US 6 100% solid sterling silver. A note on the inside: Because of the complex winding curves and internal negative spaces, the inside of the band has a slightly raw finish rather than a full mirror polish. It is purely superficial, completely invisible when worn, and doesn't affect the comfort or wearability at all.
