Stunning archival piece from Kate Sylvester’s Winter 2014 Collection (Style W14-102). Designed in Auckland, this is a gorgeous, heavy-weight car coat featuring a classic French-inspired black and white tweed basketweave. The fabric has an incredible depth to it, beautifully interwoven with subtle metallic bronze/gold threads that catch the light.Features a sleek, modern collarless neckline, structured raglan sleeves, two large front patch pockets with flaps, and matching tweed fabric-covered square buttons. It is fully lined in sleek black polyester.An incredibly chic, timeless winter staple that pairs beautifully over denim or evening wear. Size & Fit:Tag Size: Small (S)Measurements: 52 cm armpit-to-armpit (half-chest) lying flat and buttoned.Fit Notes: Designed with a generous, relaxed "cocoon" or oversized silhouette. Will easily fit a standard NZ/AU 8–10 as an oversized look, or an NZ/AU 12 for a more tailored fit. Perfect for layering over chunky winter knits. Good vintage/pre-loved condition, a few small pulls in the boucle style wool, but nothing noticeable or major. The outer tweed shell and inner lining are in good shape with plenty of life left. Please note: This style originally came with a detachable faux fur collar which I have misplaced, so it is being sold as a clean, collarless neckline style as pictured.
